On this day of solemn remembrance, please share the courtesy of following the moment of silence. If you are driving please pull over, in a mall just stop shopping. Dedicating two minutes of your life on a solitary day of the year is the least you can do for all the men and women who bravely gave their lives so that we may enjoy freedom and democracy. They all struggled through a terrible ordeal, many of whom watched their best friends or even their family get torn to ribbons of human body parts by machine guns, sink to the depths of the ocean, or plummet from the sky as their plane blew apart. We fail to remember these horrors of the First and Second World Wars, and just how bravely all those who joined in fought.

So this Remembrance Day please just respect those who have fallen for you. Even if you can not make it to the local parade for whatever reason, observe a meaningful moment of silence. And do not be afraid to tell people who talk during this time to shut their mouths.
